Safeguarding and Child Protection
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. All staff, governors, volunteers, contractors, visitors, parents and carers have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Any concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing should be reported immediately.
At our school we will take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of pupils and ensure that all our procedures comply to the highest standard of the safeguarding expectations.Please read our safeguarding and safety advice leaflet by clicking here.
All staff receive safeguarding and child protection training at induction and regular updates throughout the year. Additional training is provided for safeguarding leads, safer recruitment panel members and governors to ensure statutory safeguarding responsibilities are met.
Staff and volunteers who have concerns about malpractice, unsafe practice, misconduct, or the welfare of pupils may raise these concerns through the school's Whistleblowing Policy. The school promotes a culture where concerns can be reported openly and confidentially, without fear of retaliation.
Child Protection
In situations where we have reason to believe that a child may be subject to ill treatment or neglect or other forms of abuse, staff at our school have a duty to follow LDBS Academy Trust's child protection procedures, which may involve informing Social Care of our concerns.

Online Safety
We recognise that safeguarding extends beyond the school environment and includes children's experiences online. At Holy Trinity CE Primary School, pupils are taught how to stay safe online through a broad and progressive curriculum that promotes responsible, respectful and safe use of technology.
Digital skills are an essential part of learning, and pupils use the internet regularly to support their education. To help keep children safe, the school implements appropriate filtering and monitoring systems and provides regular online safety education through lessons, assemblies and awareness activities. These opportunities help children develop the knowledge and skills needed to identify risks, make informed decisions and seek support when required.
We work closely with parents and carers to promote safe and responsible use of the internet, social media and digital devices, recognising that online safety is a shared responsibility between home and school.
